Dr. Steven B Snyder, MD
Dr. Steven B. Snyder is a nationally and internationally recognized dermatologist and cosmetic laser surgeon with over 30 years of experience treating patients for a variety of cosmetic and medical dermatologic conditions.
As a pioneer in the industry, and as a doctor who is always seeking a safer and gentler option for patients, Dr. Snyder is often the first in Maryland, and in the country, to offer various new laser modalities to his patients, remove facial wrinkles and scars, unwanted facial and body hair, spider veins, tattoos, age spots, freckles, portwine stains, pigmented lesions and psoriasis without the risks of scarring of earlier techniques.

Recognition & Affiliations
Dr. Snyder has taught the safe use of lasers to hundreds of physicians in various seminars, instructional courses and workshops around the country. Additionally, Dr. Snyder has personally provided individual preceptorships to national and international dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other cosmetic surgical specialists at the Dermatology Laser Center and MediSpa. Steven B. Snyder, M.D. is a local and national speaker for Leo Pharma and Vyne Therapeutics, lecturing to dermatologists and other allied health care professionals.
Dr. Snyder is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and was selected for recognition in “America’s Top Dermatologists” by the Consumer Research Council of America. Dr. Snyder has received the Patients’ Choice Awards, being selected as one of Maryland’s Favorite Physicians for Dermatology and Cosmetic Laser Surgery.
Education & Personal Interests
A Baltimore County native, Dr. Snyder graduated from Loyola College in 1977 and received his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico in 1981. He spent his medical school clinical externships in pediatrics, ob/gyn, family practice, and senior internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical School Hospital and its affiliated hospitals. Board Qualified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Snyder completed his residency in internal medicine at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore. Board Certified in Dermatology, Steven B. Snyder, M.D. completed his residency in dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and he served as Chief Resident in dermatology.
An artist by nature, Dr. Snyder has always enjoyed the satisfaction of creating and drawing portraits in charcoals and pastels, as well as oil painting and calligraphy. He also enjoys world travel, sports, physical fitness, singing and speaking multiple foreign languages.
Dr. Snyder has provided his assistance to several nationally and internationally recognized recording artists and actors; he has been featured in many local and national television and radio news broadcasts, as well as in national and international newspapers and magazines – among them Reader’s Digest, Family Circle, Men’s Health, U.S. News and World Report, The Japanese Weekly, FDA Consumer Magazine, The Washington Post and Baltimore Magazine. For several years on WCBM radio in Baltimore, Dr. Snyder hosted two educational weekly radio talk shows entitled “Dermatology in the 90’s” and “Cosmetic Dermatology & Skin Care.”
